Charlton House is in South East London between Blackheath and Woolwich. It is a Jacobean mansion house built in the sixteen hundreds. It has quiet gardens, including the Amnesty International Peace Garden (supporting the Stop Violence against Women campaign) and sits on a large park which includes a couple of cafes. It is a pleasant spot to spend some time (and sketch of course).

Love this drawing. Charlton House has become a favourite place of mine to visit in this part of London and you have done it justice. The peace garden is in a lovely peaceful place and the plants used to represent the cause have been well chosen.
